Why the Name "Schoolhouse"?

The word ‘Schoolhouse’ is generally used to describe the kind of small, one-room school that used to be very common in rural parts of the United States and Canada. Class sizes at these schools were small, and teachers cared greatly about their students and their students’ learning. These schools emphasized educational fundamentals such as phonics, reading, and writing. It was the hope of the teacher that by imparting these skills, students would be prepared to continue learning independently long after they had left the schoolhouse.

Schoolhouse Language Center shares much with the schoolhouses of the past. We also have small classes, so every student has ample opportunity to participate. Our teachers are very committed to their students, and do all they can to help their students progress. We also place great emphasis on sound educational fundamentals. It is our goal that by the time students leave Schoolhouse, they will have the skills and desire to continue learning English on their own. Schoolhouse  這個字是指以前在北美洲比較鄉下的地方很普通的一個教室的學  堂。   這些學堂一班人數很少﹐老師非常關心每個學生學習狀況。  這些學堂強調基礎的教育﹐例如自然發音﹐閱讀以及寫作。老師希望這些紮實的基礎教育﹐可讓學生離開SH   後仍有能力繼續學習。 全能外語跟過去這些學堂有很多共同點。  我們有小班教學﹐所以每個學生都有參與的機會。 我們的老師對他們的學生很關心﹐也儘量幫助學生進步。 我們也強調基本的教育原理。   我們的目標是學生即使離開全能以後﹐他們會有能力與動力繼續學習英文。
