Kirsten is from Ontario, Canada. She has been teaching at Schoolhouse for two years. Kirsten is a fun, energetic teacher. Students enjoy being in her classes.
Kirsten’s favorite hobbies are watching movies and reading. She is a Harry Potter fan, and has read all of the Harry Potter books. She is also training for a triathlon, so nearly every day she runs, bikes, or swims. Not long ago she rode her bike all the way to Kenting!
Kirsten’s favorite place in Kaohsiung is Lotus Lake. She likes to climb to the top of the pagodas, where she can see nearly the whole city. Her favorite place in Taiwan is Green Island. She says Green Island is a beautiful place for camping, snorkeling, and relaxing in the hot springs.
Easter is an important holiday in the west. It is held on the first Sunday after the first full moon in spring. Spring begins around March 20th, so that means that Easter can come anytime between the end of March to the middle of April. This year Easter is on April 4th; last year it was on April 12th, and in 2011 it will be on April 24th.
在西方，復活節是一個重要的節日，它落在春天第一個滿月之後的第一個星期日，春天大約於3月20日開始，也就是說復活節大概會落在3月底到4月中的一天，今年復活節是在4月4日；去年是在4月12日，而明年會在4月24日。
Easter is a Christian holiday. Christians believe that on Easter day, Jesus Christ was resurrected, which means he came alive again, after being dead for three days. Christian churches have special Easter programs to remember Jesus. Many people will buy nice new clothes for Easter Sunday, like people in Taiwan do for Chinese New Year..
復活節是基督教的節日。基督徒相信在復活節，耶穌基督復活了，也就是說祂在死後3天重新獲得生命。基督教會舉行特別的活動來紀念耶穌。許多人為了復活節的星期日會買新衣服，就像在台灣人們會在中國年買新衣服一樣。
